Cuddle Up and Read

Sally McCabe may be small, but that doesn’t stop her from bringing about a big change in her school. Catch this read-aloud of The Smallest Girl in the Smallest Grade by Justin Roberts to teach your child that all it takes is one person standing up to make a difference.

How Do BIG Whales Keep Warm?

When it comes to big things, it doesn’t get much bigger than whales. But how do they keep warm? Find out with this activity on the Splash and Bubbles Parent app!

After downloading the app, tap on ‘activities,’ then search for the “How do Whales Keep Warm?” activity. From there you can conduct your very own whale investigation by recreating blubber. Be sure to check out the Snap It! feature, which lets you upload pictures of your blubber experiment!

Big/Small Sorting Game

This sorting game from Little Worlds Big Adventures is a great way to give your child practice with opposites while building her math skills! Just grab 10-15 items from around the house, making sure you have some big items and some small ones. Then, show your child how to sort the items into two different piles based on their size. For even more math practice, you could count the items together afterwards or work in some writing by helping your child make a list of the things in each pile.
