Watch Together

In this episode of Word Party, (Season 1, Episode 2, “Down on the Farm,”) the babies pretend to be farm animals. After watching, you might ask your child:

  • Which animal did both Kip and Lulu want to be?

  • Do you remember the name for a girl chicken? How about a boy chicken?

  • What animal would you be if you were playing with the babies?

  • Can you think of any other farm animals?

Cuddle Up and Read

Don’t miss this twist on the classic traditional tale: The Little Red Hen Makes a Pizza by Philemon Sturges. Not only will your child spot some farm animals in the story, they’ll also pick up social-emotional lessons about determination, perseverance, kindness, and friendship.

Read along to the story here.
