Celebrate Dad with our Favorite Dad Moments

A father brings fun, knowledge, and guidance, and plays a central role in his child’s life. Here at Henson, our favorite father characters come in all shapes, sizes, colors and creatures, but have one very important thing in common - they inspire curiosity, joy and a spirit of adventure in kids around the world!
Here are some of our favorite heartwarming and funniest dad moments from Dinosaur Train, Sid the Science Kid and Dot. Do you have a favorite?
Dinosaur Train: “Plant a Tree”
The Pteranodon kids are spending the day with Grandma and Grandpa Pteranodon! On the Dinosaur Train on the way to their grandparents’, Buddy, Tiny, Shiny and Don learn about sycamore trees. Grandma and Grandpa are so excited to have a whole day with their grandparents and doubly-excited to do a special “project” with them. They bring the kids to a field lined with sycamore trees and show them one tall one in particular that was – Can you believe it!? – planted by their Dad when he was a kid! Buddy, Tiny, Shiny and Don get to plant their own sycamore saplings and vow to visit their trees to track their growth as the months and years go by!.
Sid the Science Kid – “Special Sunny Dad Day”
Sid is excited to play soccer with his Dad outside-but he’s not excited to lather up in sunblock, because it takes way too long to put on! At school, Sid and his friends discover that sunblock is a great way to protect your skin from the sun. And they also learn about the amazing ways the sun helps the Earth.
Dot. – “Scaremaster 2.0”
Dot gathers the crew together to give her Dad, the self-acclaimed "Scaremaster", a fright he won't soon forget... but in the end, it's the one person she didn't see coming who delivers the final scare.
