Great Outdoors Week Part 3
Welcome to the final day of Great Outdoors week! Today we’ll get into nature with Dinosaur Train, join the Nature Trackers Club, do some tree bark rubbings, and draw with Chester Raccoon.
Watch Together
In this episode of Dinosaur Train, (Season 2, Episode 4: “Get Into Nature!”), the kids form the Nature Trackers Club. After watching, you might ask your child:
What kind of club would you make if you had a clubhouse?
Why didn’t Tiny want to be in the Nature Trackers Club anymore?
How did the kids work through their disagreement?
What do you like to do in nature?

Tree Bark Rubbings
We can enjoy the outdoors in so many ways, like using nature to create art! This activity from I Can Teach My Child shows you how to do a tree bark rubbing with a large piece of paper, some tape, and crayons.
Find the full activity here.
Draw with Chester Raccoon
Chester Raccoon lives in a forest, so he sees lots of different things in nature. Check out this video to find out what he drew! Can you draw something from the great outdoors?
Draw along with Chester here.
