Opposites Week Part 3
It’s time to wrap up Opposite Week with today’s opposites: push and pull. Today we’ll learn about pulleys with Sid the Science Kid, do a Super Fab Lab investigation of force, make a Dinosaur Train opposites book, and celebrate the Fourth of July with a read and sing aloud!
Watch Together
In this clip from Sid the Science Kid, students investigates how to get a bucket of tennis balls from the ground to their friends above them on the playscape. How will the kids complete Teacher Susie’s challenge?
Watch the clip here.
Force Investigation
In this Super Fab Lab investigation, you can explore how we use force to move objects in different ways: quickly or slowly; near or far. Does the force you use to kick a ball feel like a push or a pull? How does this compare to the force the students used in their pulley investigation?
Find the investigation here.
