On the Farm Week Part 3
On the Farm week comes to an end with some veggie activities! Today we’ll read about cows that type, grow our own carrot crop, sing with Tiny Pteranodon, and make some veggie stamps.
Cuddle Up and Read
Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type by Doreen Cronin is not only a fun farm book, it also introduces important activism concepts to children, like solidarity, empathy, and negotiation. Check your local library for a copy or catch this read-aloud video.

Let’s Sing: Garden Song
Farming takes a lot of hard work, time, and patience! While you’re waiting for your carrots to grow, catch Tiny Pteranodon’s song about gardening.
Sing along to the song here.
Veggie Stamps
Besides being delicious and nutritious, vegetables also make great painting tools! Cut shapes into a potato, carrot, celery bunch, or other vegetable. Then let your child experiment with printmaking by dipping the stamp into paint and pressing it onto paper. Click below for more details from Meri Cherry.
